Appointments
Before requesting an appointment with one of our clinicians, it may be worth looking at our treatment room to check if a surgery appointment is needed for the service you require.
How to Request an Appointment
Please note: All of our appointments are currently triaged initially by a telephone consultation in the first instance.
You can request an appointment in the following ways:
- Visiting our Consulting Room
- Online at www.patientaccess.com
- Calling the surgery on 01883 625532
Surgery telephone lines are open from 08:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:30.
Each appointment lasts 10 minutes. Should you have several matters to discuss, or you feel your problem may need more time, please Ask a Receptionist for a double appointment.
Requesting an Urgent Appointment on the Day
You can request an urgent appointment by calling the practice on 01883 625532 at 08:00 when the surgery opens.
Telephone Appointments
Some problems can easily be resolved by a discussion with a doctor over the telephone. We have appointments available both in advance and on the day by telephone.
Text Messaging
We now use text messaging services for appointment reminders, general information and specific information. In order for you to benefit from this service, please could we ask that you ensure we have your correct contact details on your records. To update your contact details, please complete our change of personal details form. If you do not wish to be contacted by text messages, kindly advise a receptionist using our ask a receptionist a question form.
Cancelling Appointments
The practice is currently experiencing a high volume of appointments that are not attended. We would therefore ask that patients let us know using our cancel an appointment form, or you can use the cancellation reply service in the text message appointment reminder, as soon as you are able to, if the appointment is no longer required.
The appointment can then be made available for another patient. It is always difficult to meet the demand for appointments and we would therefore ask that you please help us to help you.
